Unlike traditional 2D ultrasounds, which create flat black-and-white images, 3D ultrasound technology combines multiple images to produce a three-dimensional view of your baby.

When Can I Schedule a 3D Ultrasound

For the best imaging results, we recommend scheduling your 3D ultrasound between:

27–32 Weeks of Pregnancy

During this timeframe, babies typically have developed enough facial features while still having adequate room and amniotic fluid for clear imaging.

Patients must be at least 28 weeks pregnant to schedule a 3D ultrasound appointment.

Please note that image quality can vary based on your baby’s position, movement, maternal body composition, and other factors.

What to Expect During Your Visit

Your 3D ultrasound appointment is designed to be a comfortable and memorable experience.

During your visit, you can expect:

A relaxed imaging session performed by trained ultrasound professionals
Multiple views of your baby’s face and features whenever possible
Digital images provided after the appointment
An opportunity to share the experience with a support person or family member (based on office policies)

Appointments typically last approximately 30 minutes.
