Dr. Heidi Lyn grew up in Potomac, Maryland, and began her career in healthcare after graduating cum laude from Duke University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. As a proud member of the Sigma Theta Tau National Nursing Honor Society, she practiced pediatric nursing for six years and earned her Certification in Emergency Nursing.

Driven by her passion for medicine, Dr. Lyn earned her MD from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, in 1994, and completed her OB/GYN residency at The University of Texas Health Sciences Center at San Antonio in 1998.

Dr. Lyn has a wealth of experience in both private practice and academic medicine. She is board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology. After five years in private practice in Phoenix, Arizona, she pursued a career in academic medicine, holding faculty positions at Tulane University Medical School and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in El Paso. During her tenure, she served as President of the Faculty Senate and Clerkship Director for OB/GYN.

Dr. Lyn is committed to delivering personalized care. Currently practicing both obstetrics and gynecology, she has an interest in low and high risk pregnancies, adolescent gynecology, and menopause. She is trained in the use of the da Vinci robot for gynecologic surgeries.

Dr. Lyn and her husband, Kevin Stern, moved to the Woodlands in 2020. Together they have five adult children, and are grandparents. A former triathlete, Dr. Lyn enjoys distance running, golf and scuba diving.

I had the most amazing experience with my first pregnancy at this clinic. Having Dr. Heidi Lyn Stern as my OB was the best decision I made. She always answers your questions and gives reasoning behind the answers. Her 2 assistants are amazing too. I had to be induced at 38 weeks because I ended up with preclampsia unfortunately, but Dr. Lyn kept close tabs on me and visited me in the hospital everyday until I was out. My delivery with her was so smooth. I trust her fully 100% with my life and can’t wait until my husband and I try for our second baby later down the road so we can have her again. 10/10 highly recommend this wonderful Doctor.

Dr. Lyn Stern is wonderful. I had minor complications for my pregnancy and ended up with C-section but Dr. Stern shined her light throughout my journey . She was kind and gentle till the end. On the day of delivery, her team orchestrated a PERFECT surgery. Nurses and receptionists cheerleaded me into the delivery which was very cute (One nurse gave me a hug!). Dr. Lyn is very intuitive and observing about physical condition. You won’t miss anything under her care. Highly recommended! And Thank you for your amazing care.
