The most basic part of the annual exam (also known as a \u201cwell woman exam\u201d) is a review of\u00a0your current and past medical, surgical, and family history. Your doctor uses this information to\u00a0determine what preventative tests you may need to keep you healthy.\u00a0Most patients also need a breast and pelvic exam. In many cases, you may need a pap test\u00a0(sometimes called a pap smear). Your doctor will collect the pap test during your pelvic exam.\u00a0Some patients require other types of testing, like lab work, mammograms, and bone density\u00a0scans. Our office has a lab and can draw your blood during your visit.<\/p>\n
